There are many examples. Think of rain water running down mountains and carrying sediment into streams. The surface of the mountains are also worn down by the overland flow of rain water. This sediment transport by water is an example of erosion, which ultimately seeks to erode the whole mountain down to grade as part of the process of denudation.
