Why doesnt physics produce alot of atheists?

As a graduate in physics, I know that physics comes far less into head on conflict with religion than biology does. The nearest you get is the Big Bang theory, but that can be easily explained as "god kicked the Big Bang off". Biology, on the other hand, teaches evolutionary theory which is totally opposed to the idea that god created life. When I was at university, I was a Christian and it was all the biology students in the Christian Union that had the problems of having to not believe what they were being taught. For us physicists, there was never really an issue. So it's the biologists who end up having to really think about it and often becoming atheist as a result.
