BMW 335i Coupe Engine Failure/Trouble?

Has anyone heard of any issues with the 07 BMW 335i Coupe's engine? Mine is at the dealer right now with "engine failure" as the reason on the console. After stopping and trying to start the car acted like it wanted to stall (as if I had it in 3rd gear but it was in 1st) and was clugging/chugging. The car is 1 yr. old and has 16k miles. Any feedback out there? Serious replies only please, thanks!
