Why do people think Kinect is so new?

who really cares about Kinect or Move, I love my PS3, but I would never buy any type of motion gaming or 3D gaming its all a waste of time to me. The motion games are going to suck especially kinect, only little kids can enjoy there simplicity or those who are new to gaming. I know lets run on the spot to win a race, how about actually going for a run instead, stupid kinect!!!
