Why should I tolerate being called an “atheist” when I am an...?

Unfortunately, if you do not follow one of the big five religions, you are dubbed an atheist. People don't seem to understand that being an atheist means that you don't believe in any god at all. If you believe in some kind of "intelligent design", then you are not an atheist.
