Why is it that every time a human who cares about humanity arrives, he is murdered?

It is a mystery to the sober intellect why human life stories appear grossly unfair. The only solace I can find, and it is a very significant one, is that the mystery of life and of existence is so breathtakingly astonishing that it dwarfs the human intellect's humble scratchings to figure it out.
